I have just started this page and will expand it in future.
Drowning by Numbers (dir. Peter Greenaway, 1989)
If I had to pick one favorite film it would be this. Greenaway is not for everyone, the plot is not a traditional one.

The music by Michael Nyman is wonderful,
Sacha Vierny's cinematography is very stylized.
It captures an idealized middle class English aesthetic, full of literary references and game play.
There is an accompanying short 'Fear of Drowing; where Greenaway
explains at lot of the film's content.
